Sports Legs tame lactic acid and leg burn. One hour before my 20 mile run earlier today, I took 3 sportlegs capsules (as mentioned in the directions At the two hour mark of my run, I took three more (again, as stated in the directions). I am not sure if it is in my head or what, but I have no soreness in my legs at all. I was even able to throw in some sprints the last two miles. I am a little bit fatigued but wow - no muscle pain. I could probably go out and do a few more miles right now. My quads and calves usually ache after a 20 miler. It almost feels like I am cheating by taking these things. This isn't considered doping right? LOL. JK. I can't thank you enough for making such an AWESOME product.  I am a 41 year old female long distance runner, training for my first marathon.  I happened across an ad for SportLegs while reading a copy of Men's Journal.  Normally, I'm not one for trying products that are "gimicky".  Because to be honest, usually if it sounds too good to be true...it usually is.  However, because I literally dread "the burn" the day or two after my really hard training sessions, after reading that any athlete can benefit from it without the burn, I decided to at least give it a try.
 
Was I ever surprised to find out for myself that SportLegs really does live up to what it says! 
 
The very first day that I tried it, I wanted to really put it to the test.  So, I went out and ran (sprinted, compared to my normal pace), five miles in less than 31 minutes... WITHOUT ANY PAIN OR BURN!!!  I couldn't believe that I didn't hurt while running or even the days that followed.  Every workout that I have had since using SportLegs has improved with my tolerance for speed, distance, endurance, and/or strength.

I must say that I am amazed at the result.
I just did my 30 mile mountain run, which includes 1500m of climbing. I have never ended this workout with such fresh legs that - given the time, I feel like I could do it all again!

Olympic-distance triathlete shaves 10 minutes from Personal Record.
This weekend at the Memphis in May Triathlon I decided to try Sportslegs in a blind test.  My training has been dead on and I was primed for a good race.  I decided to include Sportslegs in my assault on the 2:15 Olympic Distance race.  My previous best was a 2:24.  Memphis is known as a fast course.  I train for Iron distance racing as a focus so the Oly distance isn't really my game but WOW what a day.
After a mediocre swim for me, I absolutely flew on the bike.  I went 1:00:53 for the 40k and much to my surprise I ran a sub 45min 10k.  My legs have NEVER felt better.  My overall time was 2:14:43 good enough for 14th out of 104 in my Age Group.  That is a 10 minute PR in an fairly stacked field.
Since this is my first test with SL I will have to give it a

On the mountain (and in the pool and on the trail) muscle burn and your basic, run-of-the-mill post-exercise muscle soreness are always there.  Once they were presumed untreatable, but not any more!  A biking buddy of mine turned me on to SportLegs.  I have no idea what class of drug or supplement it is but it works great.  I checked it out before I tried it.  According to a friend of mine in the Pharmaceutical industry, the ingredients are completely innocuous and the premise is sound.

SportLegs for a week: What I got from it, was that

1) They work

2) They allow me to push harder and ignore/not feel the normal pain

3) I can hurt myself on long days, making the next day worse than normal for recovery

As far as Sportlegs being too good to be true, or some marketing myth, I would challenge you to
try the product out and see for yourself. I myself was skeptical the first time I took it, but 45 minutes into my first training session w/ them and no noticeable muscle burn or leg fatigue, and I was a believer. As a team coach, I need to personally test everything out there. As a former pro racer, I've tried every performance supplement available, but I’ve never found one that actually does what it promises like SportLegs.  I was blown away the first time I tried it.  On a familiar 16-mile circuit, familiar road bike, with a heart rate monitor assuring my usual training parameters, the reduction in "burn" was so significant, I thought it couldn't be just these little capsules.  But it is.  You know how it feels when the "burn" starts coming, and it grows until you have to back off or stop?  Well, the initial "taste" shows up, and then the "burn" just levels off.  Recovery after climbs or sprints is much faster.  We're seriously interested in getting our team on SportLegs. -Derin Stockton, Team Manager, Santa Cruz Bicycles/Intense Tire Systems race team, Temecula, California

Proof in a minute and a half.  I've been taking SportLegs an hour before my fairly brutal 20-minute stationary bike workout in the morning, with resistance increases every two minutes.  But I didn't fully appreciate how much more bearable SportLegs has made my workouts until this morning.  Only a minute and a half into the session, still at the lowest resistance setting, my quads started "burning" and getting worse fast.  Over the next 30 seconds, my thoughts sequenced from "Hey, what's this?" to "How am I going to make the full 20 today?" to "OWW!" to "Screw this!"  So why was I such a WIMP today?  I looked into my SportLegs bottle, and saw the same six capsules I noticed after I took them yesterday.  I'd forgotten to take my SportLegs.  What an amazing workout aid this stuff is.  With it, I can ENJOY a kick-ass, productive workout. -Carl Holmes, Chagrin Falls, Ohio
